Who We Are

"Sigma Phi Epsilon will play a still greater part in the destinies of many young men and will thus be adding still further to supplementing the activity and efforts of home and Alma Mater. She will thus be taking care of her own and by doing so will be making better alumni by making better Brothers.”
-- Founder William L. Phillips upon creation of the
Sigma Phi Epsilon Student Loan and Fellowship Fund

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation is a partner in higher education. In association with Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, we raise money and support grant requests to build balanced leaders for the world’s communities. Our key partners are students, parents, host institutions and communities, and like-minded organizations.

'WilliamEstablished in 1943 in honor of Fraternity Founder and long-time Executive Director William L. "Uncle Billy” Phillips, the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation funds scholarship and leadership programs that develop the academic, leadership, citizenship, and personal potential of college undergraduate and graduate students. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, family and friends, the Foundation continues to provide the necessary environments, education, experiences, scholarships and loans.

The roots of the Foundation date to 1930 when, in the face of the Great Depression, SigEp established a Student Loan and Fellowship Fund from pooled dues to aid worthy members in completing their college education.
