Scripps National Spelling Bee Winner Receives Foundation Scholarship

Again in 2006, the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation provided a $5,000 college scholarship to the winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee -- this year's winner is Kerry Close of Spring Lake, New Jersey.
 
Our support of higher education and mission to Build Balanced Leaders for the World's Communities aligns with theirs to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.
 
Last year's winner Anurag Kashyap attended the 2005 SigEp Conclave in Nashville with his parents to be recognized for his achievement.
